Lisa Vollen is the founder of Sweet Sanctuary. Her passion for working with refugee women stemmed from her background as the Employment Program Manager at International Rescue Committee. She is passionate about helping women who are new to the United States discover their strengths and build them so that they can achieve their dreams. She has taught all ages in Mexico, Arizona, and California. She has facilitated many cross-cultural workshops between refugees from all over the world, taught career development, and vocational ESL. She has also worked in food export, helping small businesses to market their products internationally. In her spare time, her favorite places to be are in the kitchen inventing her latest healthy recipe, or on top of a mountain. She hopes to spread her love for refugees, healthy treats, and career development through the Sweet Sanctuary.
